ABOUT US
First, we’re not just friendly, we’re friends! Our primary belief is that everyone (no exceptions!) is created in the loving image of God, who is love itself.
Second, in everything we do, we strive to live our mission: By the power of Christ, we are blessed to be a blessing!
WE GATHER TO WORSHIP
PRELUDE: “Spirit of God, Descend Upon My Heart” (MORECAMBE)
WELCOME + CHIMING OF THE HOUR
CALL TO WORSHIP (based on Psalm 66)
(the people’s words in bold print)
Come and hear, all you who fear God. Listen to one another as you tell what God has done!
God has listened to our prayers in steadfast love;
God has tested us, but not rejected us.
Have no fear, and do not be troubled; the Spirit of truth dwells with you.
God is never far from us; even though unknown, the Spirit gives us breath and keeps us alive.
Bless God, all nations; let praise be heard! God has brought us to this time and place.
In Christ we live and move and have our being. We are made righteous and restored to wholeness.
HYMN OF PRAISE: “Love Divine, All Loves Excelling” (HYFRYDOL)

WE EXPERIENCE GOD’S WORD
GOSPEL LESSON: John 14:15-23
15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, to be with you forever. 17 This is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, because he abides with you, and he will be in you. 18 “I will not leave you orphaned; I am coming to you.
19 "In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me; because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. 21 They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me; and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them.”
22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered him, “Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.
This is the Word of the Lord.
Thanks be to God!

WE RESPOND TO GOD’S WORD
PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE + THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
